The Daruma doll is a traditional eyeless Japanese talisman used to actualize a goal in our life by helping us to aim clearly at it. We buy these talismans at our local temple and draw the left eye as we speak out loud our goal. When we reach our goal, we paint in the right eye.

In life we do not get anything we do not aim at. This may sound simple, yet it is terrifyingly hard for us to keep our aim sharp and true. We often keep our goals hidden from others to avoid being caught out should we fail.

My hope is this Daruma collection will help us be disciplined, and help stop us fooling ourselves with an aimless life. Together let’s imagine who we could be after aiming single-mindedly at our goal.
